I STREET DEPARTMENT:
` Tomlinson, Street Commissioner was present and brought to the attention of
H. M.
I the Board, the arrangement existing between the Street Department of the City of
South Bend and the State Highway Commission in the matter of the use of the Street
Department flusher on city streets under State Highway maintenance and control.
Mr. Tomlinson next called attention to the Street Signs which were conceded to
be inadequate, especially at night. It is believed the lowering of these signs would
effect some improvement. It was also suggested that new additions be provided with
an improved type of street signs.
It being called to the attention of the Board that the legal notices for
Vacation Resolutions Nos. 2697, 2698, 2699, 27002 2701, 27102 2711, were defective,
the Board. now fixes the date of March 24, 1952 at 1:;00 A. M. for the public hearing
of said Vacation Resolutions and orders that publication of notices in two newspapers
j on March 7th and March 12- th, 1952.
No further business being brought before the Board, the meeting adjourned at
II 12:00 Noon.
