Eugene Kovacs, 1015 West Thomas Street appeared before the Board in res- ponse to notice to show cause why his taxi driverts license should not be revoked. The Board directed that Mr. Kovacs furnish a statement showing his physical fitness to ope- rate a taxi cab and upon receipt of such statement the license he now holds will remain e-ffective. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A Contractorts Bond was approved and ordered filed for the Singer Manufacturing Company. A letter was received from Rieth-Riley Construction Company requesting an extension!1 of time on the following Barrett Law Contracts: 1. Resolution #2643-1950, Randolph Streelt 2. Resolution #2673-1951, Twentieth Street. 3, Resolution #2672-1951, Vine Street. �I The Board granted their request for an extension of time. until June 30, 1952. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2689, 1951 R. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractors bonds in the amount of $1,000,00 each were approved and filed for Wi iam Frankfort, Midland Engineering, Co. Inc., and William H. Burke and Robert H. Burke. A petition was received asking for the vacation of Howard Street from Twyckenham Drive to White Oak Drive. This was referred to the City Plan Commission for investi- gation and report. The Board approved plans for a sewer on Elmer Street from Keller Street to a point 485 feet North of Marquette Boulevard, and a sewer on Marquette Boulevard from Elmer Street to Huey Street for Better Homes, Inc., The Board approved plans for a sewer on Corby Boulevard from Ironwood Drive to the Centerline of Section 5, T 37 N, R 39, sheets one of two sheets and sheet two of two sheets for the Crown Development Company.. The Board approved plans for a lift station for McKinley Terrace Addition for Crown Development Co.
