ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An ExcavatioB/nas approved and ordered filed for Alex R. Niezgoctski a Niezgo s i Brot. ers. Contractorst Bonds were approved and ordered filed for Erick W. Gustafson, Wm. Kline:; Alex E. Rose d/b/a Ross Cement Company; Harry H. Verkler; and Jack S. Victor. J. Street Improvement Plans were approved and ordered filed for the construction of pavement, curb and walk on Sherwood Avenue from St. Joseph Streetto-Fellows Street and on St. Joseph street from Klinger to Chippewa for Whitcomb and Keller. The:_•Board._'approved .a Grant of Easement by the Dallas & Mavis Forwarding Company, Inc., to the Colpaert Realty Corporation and the City of South Bend for the construction of a thirty (30) inch combined storm and sanitary Sewer along, through and upon apart of said area described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point on the present west line of Sheridan Avenue 2451.65 feet east acid 1014 feet south of the northwest corner of Sec- tion 16 Township 37 North, Range 2 East; thence West 453 feet to the east l>ine of Belle ville Gardens 2nd Unit; thence south on said east line 14 feet; thence east 453 feet to said west line of Sheridan Avenue; thence north 14 feet along said west line of Sheridan Avenue, to the place of beginning. DEDICATION WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now pre sented to the Board to be known as McKinley Terrace Addition an addition to South Bend, Indiana, and This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works and Safety in Row # , Drawer # , and recorded in Book , Page , in the Recorderts Office of St. Joseph -County. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City' of South. Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alley and public places dedicated to the public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2678 i This being the date set, heving was held on the assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of ALLEY BETWEEN MAIN AND MICHIGAN STREETS FROM NAVARRE STREET NORTH TO THE SOUTH LINE OF THE ALLEY NORTH OF NAVARRE STREET under Vacation Resolution No..2678.. A letter was received from Seebirt, Oare & Deahl, Attorneys for the Indiana & Miclh3- gar: Electric Company informing the Board that the -said company had received a duly execut- ed deed.of easement from the Memorial Hospital of South Bend, which covers the installa-' tion of their facilities in the alley to be vacated. Mr. Holmes of the Indiana hell Telephone Company informed the Board that the Telephone Company had also received a duly'' executed easement from Memorial Hospital. In the ahove named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- strances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the mounts shown on said roll, The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceed- ings closed, and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the VTious property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to said alley vacation are hereby sustained.
