A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, August 13, 1951s
at 9:30 a.m. Mr. F. K. Baer was absent. Minutes of the Irevious meeting were read and

The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereby cer

That there is a contract, dated July 9, 1951, by and between the City of South Bend,
Indiana, and the Heed Construction Company, Mishawaka, Indiana, for the construction by
said Reed Construction Company of a Class "C" - Cerro nt Concrete Pavement on KENMORE STREE
from the north line of Western Avenue to the south line of Linden Avenue and that the
final amount of the contract is $27,146.00.
That said Reed Construction Company has completed the construction of said improve-
ment according to the terms of said contract and that eighty-five (85) per cent of the
final amount of said contract is $23,244.10. That said contractors will be entitled to
receive the said eighty-five (85) per cent or 023,244,10, either in cash or street impro
ment bonds to be hereinafter collected or issued by the City of South Bend, Indiana, in

the final amount of the contract is $25,950.00.
