Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A letter was received from Mrs. Bruce Goffeney, 1201 West Jefferson Boulevard, peti- tioning for stop signs at Maple Street and Jefferson Boulevard. This was referred to Mr. Miller for investigation and report. BUSSES: Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., requested permission to place signs on the ligh posts in the down town area showing the locations of bus loading stops. Permission was granted. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractor's Bond was approved and ordered filed for L. M. Macumber and Sons. The Clerk of the Board was directed to advertise for bids for the recapping of Main Street from Western Avenue to LaSalle Street, bids to be accepted until 11:00 a.m.., Monday, April 9, 1951. STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannai.,Street Commissioner, was present and matters per- Vaining to his department were discussed. The Board approved a Performance Bond for the Standard Oil Company for materials. PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: MAURICE C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the week ending March 17, 1 1. CEMETERY DEPAR PIENT Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed.
