RAILROADS: A letter was received from the Grand Trunk Railway System acknoledging recei of a letter from the Board relative to lighting at the 35th Street crossing. TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. A petition asking that rest Ewing Avenue from Scuth Franklin Street to Prairie Ave- nue be made a boulevard and all truck traffic by-passed. The Traffic Engineer was asked to,make a survey of the feasibility of taking truck traffic off of the street. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An Excavation. Bond was. approved and ordered filed for E. A.Stro d a b Strohm. Construction Cc.-pany. The Board approved the construction of a canopy and a veneer pilaster front at 902- 904 tPest Indiana Avenue for Andrew A. Toth, Architect. STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present and matters per- taining to his Department were discussed.
