HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-2017 Honoring and Celebrating Pastor Fred and First Lady Marcella Preston i, " SPECIAL PROCLAMATION NO. 13-2017 A SPECIAL PROCLAMATION AWARDED BY SOUTH BEND 6TH DISTRICT COUNCIL MEMBER OLIVER DAVIS HONORING& CELEBRATING PASTOR FRED & FIRST LADY MARCELLA PRESTON St Luke Memorial Church of God in Christ is located at the address 139 Haney Ave in South Bend, Indiana 46613; and 6))6" The Pastoral team at St. Luke Memorial Church is led by Pastor Fred & First Lady Marcella Preston, who lovingly have guided, taught, and proclaimed God's love to their Church Family; and GA)" Pastor Preston was a Policemen for the City of South Bend for 25 years, a Federal Marshall for the United States for 10 years,and continues to offer prayer for many community organizations,including offering the invocation on several occasions for the South Bend Common Council; and (50" First Lady Marcella Preston had been the Director of Family and Youth Outreach Services, Inc for overt 20 years had operated an excellent After School Program, youth in college; and been a mentor to the members of her church, particularly the youth of St. Memorial Church of God in Christ; and GA" the Pastor and First Lady Preston continue to be a beacon of hope,Joy, and courage to people like Councilman Oliver Davis and his wife, Lynda Davis, as they serve in the South Bend Community; a © Section I. On behalf of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and as an elected Council Member for the 6"' District & Vice President of the South Bend Common Council, I am pleased to publicly honor and to congratulate Pastor Fred and First Lady Marcella Preston on this 28th Pastors and Wife"s Anniversary here at St. Luke Memorial Church, for being a positive influence in the lives of so many of the People of the City of South Bend.
