Notice is hereby given., that,the following Street Improvements have been completed.
The general character of .the Improvements, the streets, alleys or public places on which
it has been made, and the terminal points thereof, are as follows:
LIBERTY STREET LOC.LL SEWER from 190<feet south of the south line at Washington Street to
167 feet north of the north line of Western Avenue; AND
FIS-11EVER STREET LOCAL SDTFER from the center line of Olivc Street to 164 feet East of east
line at Meade Street.

Therefor Be It '-'esolved, By the Board of Public Wz)rks and Safety of the City of South
Bond, Indiana that the bi ds of the Reed Construction Company for the construction of the
improvements described in Improve_men.t Resolutions Numbers 2601 and 26c4, 1950 passed by
this Board on February 20, 1950 and confirmed by this Board on P`arcr_ 27, 1950 be and the
same is hereby adopted and that the City of South Bend, Indiana thru its Mayor and Board
of Public Works and Safety enter into a written contract with said Reed Construction Com-
pany for the faithful executor of such work, according to said bid, the detailed plans
and specifications and the terns ofsa.id Resolution, provided that 'cefore entering upon
the performance of said contract said Reed Construction Company shall give bond, in the
amount equal to one hundred (1003 per cent of the contract price for such work, Lri th a.
Surety Company legally authorized to transact busincss in the State of Indiana, as Surety
to the approval of this Board, to secure the performance of such contract, and shall give
a. Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifty (50) per cent of the contract price for
such work, with a Surct;,r Company legally aut1lo-ized to transact business in the State of
Indiana, as Surety, to the approval of this Board to warrant and quarantee the work, ma-
terial and condition of the paver.ient for a period of three (3) years, and to hold the City

Therefor Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Sout�i
Bend, Indiana that the bids of the iiets^+— Riley Construction Company for the construction ,
of the improvements described in Improvc_r_.ent Resolutions 2603, 26057 2607, 2608 and 2620,
1050 passed by this Board on cbruar-T 20, 1950 and confirmed by this Board on Idiarch 27,
�1950 be and the same is hereby adopted and that the City of South Bend, Indiana, thru its;
:Mayor and Board of Public Works and Scfet,r enter into a written contract with said Rieth-
Riley Construction Company for the faithful executor of such work, according to said bid,
j the detailed plans and specifications and the terms of said Resolutions, provided that
• jbefore enuring upon the performance of said contracts, said Rieth-Miley Construction Com�
i any shall give bond in the amount equal h �t t p b , q _ .1 to one hundred (100) per cent of one contract
prices for such work, with a. Surety Company legally authorized to transact business in th'
1 State of Indiana, as Surety, to the approval of this Board, to secure the performance of �
such contracts, and shall give a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifty (50) per i;
I cent of the contract price for such work, witha Surety Cor pa.nyr legally authorized to tra' -
sact business in the State of Indiana, as Surety, to the approve_ of t'..,is Board to warran
and quarantee the work, material and condition of the pavement for a period of three (3)
!years, and to hold the City of South Bend, Indiana, harmless from payment of any debt or
damage by reason of any act of such Contractor, and secure the pa, of all claims for
Tabor and material used in such improvements.

All work done in the r^al_ ng of said described pU-blic improvements shall ' be in accor-
dance with the terms and conditions of Improvement Resolutions Numbers 2630, 2631 and
26321 1950 adopted by the Board of Public ':-.'orI_s and Safety; on the above named day, and
