AMENDMENT TO OWNER -ENGINEER AGREEMENT
Amendment No. 1
1. Background Data:
a. Effective Date of Owner -Engineer Agreement: July 13, 2017
b. Owner: Board of Public Works, City of South Bend
C. Engineer: Thomas R. Cook dba M/E Design Services
d. Project: 117-081 Studebaker Museum Rooftop Unit Replacements
2. Description of Modifications:

this amendment. Refer to paragraph numbers used in the Agreement or a previous amendment for clarity
with respect to the modifications to be made. Use paragraph numbers in this document for ease of
reference herein and in future correspondence or amendments.]
a. Engineer shall perform or furnish the following Additional Services:
i. Review impact to the design of alternative rooftop units and
configurations.
ii. Review whether the areas served by RTU-5 and RTU-8 can be heated by
other means or through a modified control sequence to allow the building
to be maintained at temperature without using the faulty heat exchangers
in these two units.
b. The Scope of Services currently authorized to be performed by Engineer in
accordance with the Agreement and previous amendments, if any, is modified as
follows:

C. The responsibilities of Owner are modified as follows:
The Owner will assist in coordination with Museum personnel and the
Museum's Maintenance Contractor to provide necessary information about
current equipment issues.
