Mr. Huguenard was a.;ked to contact the railroad with the request (that this matter be taken care of immediately., 11GINEERING DEPARTMENT: The Board approved a Contract Bond for the'Rieth-Riley Construe- tion Company in the amount of $32,768.45 for the resurfacing of East Jefferson Boulevard -I, 'from the West line of Niles Avenue to Eddy Street and West Washington Avenue from Chestnut,+' street to Main Street. h • AIs An Excavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for Richard E. The Clerk of the Board was authorized to advertise for a panel truck for the Enginee ng Department. Bids to be returned on March 20, 1950. The Cleri of the Board was also authorized to advertise for that portion of the Loga. treet Bridge which is to be repaired By the City of South Bend. These bids are returnab n March 27, 1950 at 10:00 a.m. I. The Colpaert Realty Company filed assessment rolls for sewers on Chicago Street from ord Street to 150 feet south of Western Avenue; Illinois Street from Ford Street to 150 eet South of Western and Wellington Street from Ford Street to 200 feet South of Western venue. This work was done by the Miles Excavating Company and paid for by the Colpaert ealty Company. J' I�. Mr. Charles Whiting representing the South Bend .Awning Company appeared before the oard to request permission to install a permanent type awning at 803 South Chapin Streeti! nd the Board, upon the Engineer's recommendation, approved his request.
