This being the date set to receive bids on equipment for the Street Department,
the following sealed bid was opened and publically read:
Coffield Supply Co., Inc., A Non Collusion Affidavit and Certified

CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Lesczyznski,-Sexton, was present and matters per-
taining to his Department were discussed.
PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Mr. Maurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the
week ending December 24, 1949.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
at 10:00 A. M.

A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Tuesday, January 3°, 1950
at 10:30 a..m.. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and
approved. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved.
TRAFFIC DEPARTTr_ENT;. Mr. Ernest 1"ller, Traffic Engineer, Sras present and matters pertain
ing to his Department were discussed.
ENGINEERING DEPART1, NT: _ Excavation Bonds were approved and ordered filed for: Phillip
Cohn Plumbing and Heating Company; C. S. Randolph, Abe Medow, d/b/a as Mledow Plumbing and
Heating Company; Victor Tripple and Slutsky Plumbing and Heating Coirpany Incorporated.
Sewer plans were approved for Ash Lane and Crest Avenue in the T-.ync-Benham dills Addition
Section B and South East Drive, Sheets 1 and 2 in `ilav, cker_ham riills Addition, Section B
for the Crown Development Company.
STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton Brannon, Street Commissioner, was present and riatters pertain-
ing to his department were discussed.
There being no further business to cone before Boa.rd, t1,e meet-ng adjourned at
11:45 a.m.

10:30 a..m. All members were present. Minutes° of the previous r.eeting were read and

RAILROADS: The Board directed that a letter be sent to the Superintendent of the Grand
Trunk Western Railroad, relative to requests semt them for the installation, of an over-
head light at Ironwood Drive on the North Side of the tracks. The Board requested that
immediate steps to complete this installation be taken.
