All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved. TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT:_ Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per- taining to his Department were discussed. TAXI CABS' Leon Kowalski, representing Joseph Binder of the Twin City Cab Company, appeared before the Board to discuss Mr. Binder's request for a Taxi cab stand on the corner of Spencer and Michigan Street, The Board took this matter under advisement. Coy band, Jr. appeared before the Board requesting permission to eatablish a taxi cab stand. The Board took this matter under advisement. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A Contractor's Bond in the amount of $1000.00 was approved and ordered filed for Charles W. Aulm. , The $oard discussed the matter of the repairs to the Logan Street Bridge and dir- ected the Clerk of the Board to write the following letter to the St. Joseph County Commissioners and the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Mishawaka. " Several Months ago we notified you that the City of South Bend would be willing to participate with you and the County Commissioners in repairing the Logan Street Bridge. We can- not repair our portion of the bridge unless the work is under- taken simaltaneously by the other parties. If you are ready to proceed at this time, please contact our City Engineer who has advised this Board that the City of '. South Bend is'ready at any time to perform its share. CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Lesczyznski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain to his Department were discussed. PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Mr. Maurice C.
