Upon the recomn?enda. Lion of the Tra.ffi c ngineer, the Oliver Corporation was granted i
permission to install traffic lights at their gates on Chapin. Street, providing however,
that the type of lights and the location thereof �rould first be approved by the Traffic i,�,
E'ngi—_neer and the installation and operation shall first have his approval. They are to
be similar to these installed by time Singer Company at their gat
tes on Olive Stree. 1

TAXI -CABS:

The petition of Joseph ?'inder and the T rin City Tali -Cab Co-:-:pan.y for a, tax!- cab
stand to be located on South Michigan Street at ::'es ;ern Avenue is hereby denied, inasmuch
as the Board feels that all cab stands should be eliminated from. b ichigan Street and are;�
working toward that end, and that the location requested is particularly hazardous as to Ei
traffic conditions. ii
