Mr. W. L. Dayton • from the Grand Trunk Western Railroad presented a plan for crossing protection which he 11 said had been drawn up by the three railroads. This plan was presented to the City � Engineer and the Traffic Engineer for further study. A meeting was arranged with the � railroad representatives and :,he Traffic Engineer to be held on Thursday, November 3, i 1949 at which tine the plan .•could be further discussed. There was also a discussion of !1 the 'maintenance of the grade crossings in South Bend and Ir. They were also informed that the concrete footing and foundation of the plant would have to be demolished.
