Mr. Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters • pertaining to his department were discussed. � Ernest H. Miller and Steve Ivankovics were authorized to attend the 37th National Safety Congress in Chicago October 24th to October 28th, 1949 inclusive. A. petition requesting the removal of he truck traffic in the 1900 block of Ind- i.ana was referred to Mr. Miller. TAXI CABS':: Leon Kowalski and Joseph Binder appeared before the Board requesting a taxi cab stand, with space for 1 cab, in front of the Co -Operative Food Market on South Michigan Street. Mr. Binder stated that he now has three cabs in service with four full time drivers and one part time driver. This request was taken under advisement and Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, was asked to check the location as to its feasibility for � a, taxi -cab stand.
