The land herein conveyed is for public use as an alley. This quit -claim and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works and Safety in Row #21, Drawer #5, and recorded in Book , Page , in the Recorder's office of St. Joseph County, NOV, THEREFORE:, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works; and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that this alley dedicated to the public use in said quit -claim are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana, STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Melton 0. Mr. Miller recommended the closing of a part of Rush Street just off Pennsylvania Ave ue for a period of one hour each morning. This is to be used as a playground for the uppils enrolled in the First Church of God Bible School. This covers a period of June 20, 949 to July 1st, 1949, inclusive. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractorts Bonds in the amount of $1,000.00 were approved and ordered filed for Thomas J.'Buczynski, Ignatius Golichowski, Erik W. Gustafson. An Excavation Bond was approved and ordered filed for the Rieth-Riley Construction Company, in the amount of $ 57000.00. 540 Pursuant to the recommendation of the City Plan Commission the vacation of the alley between St. Joseph and Carroll Streets south from Dubail .venue is hereby denied. The Clerk of the Board was directed to so inform the petitioners.
