SPECIAL MEETING
May 27, 191+9
A special meeting of the Board of,Public Works was held on Friday, May 27th, 191+9
at 10:00 A. M. All members were present.
Comes now Mr. Watterson and Mr. Hahn representing the Northern Indiana Transit Com i'
pany and presenting the following petition

Honorable Board of Public Works and Safety !:
City of South Bend, Indiana
214 North Main Street
South Bend, Indiana
Gentlemen:
Effective June 11 191+9, Bendix Field, St. Joseph County Airport
will have completed the improvements on the port and ready for
occupancy,
Northern Indiana Transit, Inc. respectfully petitions your
Honorable Body for the privelege of operating bus service,
on a trial basis, between the hours of 7 AM to 9 AM and fit- PM
to 6 PM from the intersection of Crumstown Avenue and Lincoln
Way West in a South Westerly direction on Crumstown Avenue
to Bendix Drive; then on the Bendix Drive to Lincoln Way West;
thence North West on Ibincoln Way West and Route 20 to Airport
enterance; thence North on Airport Highway to Airport and re-
turning over same route to Lincoln Way West and Crumstown Ave-
nue. Rate of fare on way 150 cash, or one token and 5¢ cash,
or one transfer and 5¢ cash.

The Board granted the above petition on a thirty (30) day trial basis.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at
10:30 A. M.

A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was -held on Tuesday, May 31st, 191+9.
All members were present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The
