CEMETERY DEPARTMENT:_______Mr_.__.Stanley. Lesczcynski, Sexton, was present and matters per- taining to his department were discussed. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT : An Excavation Bond in,the amount of $27000 was approved for Percival Haines, d/b/a Haines & Haines and an excavation Bond for William Lodyga in the amount of $17000 was approved. Both,Bonds were ordered filed. Contractor's Bond in the amount of $1,000 were approved and ordered filed for: George Newman, D. B. Skeeters d/b/a Skeeters Construction Company, Peter Schumaker, Harry A. Sthrol, Herman F. Glaser, V. E. Disher & Sons, Harold Hansen, Luther Wing Rimer. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A. M. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Y. C, righ-of-way ll4 feet. This was discussed but no action was taken, 506 A letter was received from Mr. C. H. Annala relative to a petition to condemn an area for the widening of West Calvert Street, in which heastates that he wishes to dis- cuss the matter further with the Housing Commission. The Clerk was directed to so in- form the petitioners. A communication was received from the Common Council instructing the Board of Publi Works to notify the operator of the dumping area in the 1300 block of South Bend Avenue, that combustible materials must be kept separated in the dumping area and that they be burned in an isolated area to prevent constant dump fires. The Clerk was directed to write a letter to Mr. Luce informing him of the above motion. Joseph Doczy, 501 West LaSalle Street and William McCubbins, 716 N. Allen Street, appeared before the Board to request the City io use their property at Dollar take as a dump for street sweepings._ No action was taken as this area is five miles from the Cour House and outside the City Limits, PARKIN' METER DEPARTMENT: _Mrs Maurice_C_.. The meeting was called for the purpose of public hearings on Improvement Resolutions: No. 2585 Stanfield Streetfrom Howard Street to Corby Street No, 2587 Garden Lane from Sample Street to Dogwood Lane No. 2589 Howard Street from Notre Dame Avenue to Eddy Street No, 2�92 Poland Street from Olive Street to Kaley Street No. 2591+ Dale Avenue from Dubail Avenue to Indiana Avenue No. 2588 Grace Street from alley E. of Webster St to Oliver Farm Equip.
