T mutes of the last meeting were read and approved, There were no claims of supT tiers to be approved. TRAFFIC DEPARTI,=T: Mr. Ernest !-.iller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertai ing to his department were discussed. PARKING IETER DEPARTME-1 T : Mr. Maurice Vennet, , Auditor, presented his report for the weekending January 15, 1949. ETTGITMEERIIGDEFARTT ENT: A letter was received -Prom the Green Arrow Parking, Inc,, reporting their change in prices for parking cars. This was ordered filed. Mr. Van Gates, representing the L. 0. Gates Chevrolet Company, 333 South La.Fayettc Boulevard, appeared before the Doard to ask permission to erect a canvas canopy over the sidewalk at their place of business from January 21st to 28th inclusive. Permission f eras granted. A peti :.ion was received asking for a change in the name of 'Dorothy Street, making it Dorothy Boulevard. This was referred to the Perk Department. VACATIO.i _IESOLUT ± O-r NO. 2583 This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment of be.efits in the matter of the vacation of Victoria Street from Tw Yckenharn Drive to `fork Road under Vacation Resolution No. 2583. In the above named assessment roll, no rer.onstrators appeared and no written re- monstrances zrere filed. The Clerk of the -13oa.rd submitted proofs of publication of notices and ,same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefitted and dana.ged in the amounts shoran on said (roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and j declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification, and t'rlQ proceedings closed, and the street vacated, upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings ha.d with f reference to said street vacation are hereby sustained. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned a t 10 : 00 A.M. , ATTEST: MClerk BOARD OF PL FSLIC WORKS �� VACATION RESOLUTION NO; 2584 RESOLVED BY TIE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND; INDIANA: That it is desirable to vacate the following: The alley North of Lincoln ti1a.y �dest from Terrace Avenue to Bendix Drive, And The alley West of Terrace Avenue from the North line of the all North of Lincoln Way West to end. The following property may be inl'.uriously or beneficially effected r by such vacation: Lots numbered 225 to 236 inclusive, in Lincoln Terrace Addition. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 21st day of January and on the 28th day of January, 1949 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the Weekly Mirror. This Board at its office in the City Hall on,the 7th day of February 1949 a.t 11:00 A.M. Will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
