TRAFFIC DEP i RT =MITT: Mr. Ernest hiller, Traffic Engineer, tiaras present and riatters
pertaining to his department T..ere discussed.
A petition asking for the installation of a traffic light -at the intersections
of South Bend Avenue, Corby Street and :eddy Street was referred to the Traffic Eng-
ineer, who will, in turn refer it to the State LLlightivay Commission.
A petition for a traffic light at the intersection of Portage and California
Avenue was referred to V:ir. Miller.
The Board approved an application for a parking lot to be of the self-service
type at 326-328 North I ichigan Street by Harperts, rates to be 15� from 8 A.I. to
6 P.I.i. and 25� from 6 _P.T,�% to 12 midnigh'-.
ENGINE',ERING DEPART TENT: Contractort s bonds in the amount of 9 1,000.00 each .n.ere
approved and ordered riled for John.. Tatich and Charles ' d. I}ulm.
An "'xcavation bond was approved and ordered filed for Bernard D. Johnson,
The Board 'having previously approved plans for a driveway on i;Iishawaaka Avenue
and 26th Street for the First Bank and Trust Company, now approves a change in the
curb cuts.
Vacation resolution No. 2558
This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution heretofore adopted
by the Board of Public dorks for the vacation of the first alley North of Lincoln
`1al;lest from Brookfield Street Nast to the Nest side of the alley '.`pest of College
Street under :,vacation resolution No. 2558. The Clerk of the Board having shown
sufficient proofs of publication and no re.nonstrators having a??peared and no written
remonstrances havin; been filed .ith the Cler��, it was moved, seconded and unani-
mously carried that the said resolution be finally adopted and the said alley be
vacated. The Engineering department is directed to prepare an assessment roll
covering the assessments of benefits and the award of damages to the surrounding
properties.

pertaining to his department were discussed.
