This was referred to the City Plan Conuaission for investigati and re-oort. Contractorts Bonds in the an.ount of p1,000.00 each were approved and ordered filed for Harry H. Verkler and idilliam J. Kline. The Board approved plans for remodeling a store front at 801-803 South 1,lich.igan for Carl Verhostra, Contractor, which plans included a 23 inch canopy extending over the city streets. ATTZ 07 Clerk r BOARD OF `, ORKS Special 1Leeting October -0, 1947 A special meeting of the Board of Public ,'works was held on Thursday, October 2, 1947 at 2: 30 P.T; . Mr. Montgomery was absent. The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing matters pertaining to the Street and Traffic Departments. After reviewing the bids for the sale of the street car rails removed from the City Streets it was the decision of the Board to accept the bid of the Hurwich Iron Company for the rails, their bid being the highest submitted.
