DEDICATION
'0JUIEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now
presented to the 3oard, to be known as "Advance Investment Cots Inc.,Sub. of Lot
52 and a part of Lots B and 9 Jaeksont s Prop. Sub" to the City of South Dend, Indian&

THIS plat and dedication is filed in the records of the 'Board of'Public -forks
and Safety in Row #21, Drawer ;r4 and recorded in Book Pa-e ,� , in
the Recorder's office of ;St. Joseph County,

City of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alleys and public places de-
dicated to the ?public use in said Plat, are hereby accepted and approved by said
Board for and on behalf of the City of South 3"end, Indiana.
The above dedication was approved at the meeting held on September 15, 1947 but
was omitted in the minutes of that date.

pertaining to his department were discussed.
This being the date set for receiving bids for the sale of the salvaged street
car rails, the following bids were opened and publicly read:
Hurwich Iron Company, Certified check in the amount of �7,,1,500,00 accompanied

taining to his department were discussed.
Mr. Miller was granted permission to attend a meeting of the Governor's Safety
Council in Indianapolis on ;September 30 and also to attend the conference of the
National 'Safety Council in Chicago October Gth to loth inclusive,

Contractor's Bonds in the mount of ?1,000,00 each were approved and ordered
filed for Harry H. Verkler and ��illiam J. Kline.
The Board approved plans for remodelincr a store front at 801-803 South Idichigan
for Carl Verhostra, Contractor, which plans included a 23 inch canopy extending over
the city streets.

Special Meeting October 2, 1947
A special meeting of the Board of Public ".,orks was held on Thursday,October 2,
1947 at 2:30 P.1, I:ir. Montgomery was absent.
The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing matters pertaining to
the Street and Traffic Departments.
.After reviewing the bids for the sale of the street car rails removed from the
City Streets it was the decision of the Board to accept the bid of the Hurwich Iron
Company for the rails, their bid being; the highest submitted.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad-
journed at 3:30 P.T.
