A regular meeting of the Board of Public 'ddorks was held on Tuesday, September 2,
1947 at 8.:30 A.TYI. Mr, Cummings was absent, Minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved, Claims of the following suppliers in the amount of 4585.31 were approved

TRAFFIC DEPAR WENT: Mr, Ernest Miller, Traffic :engineer, was present and matters per-
taining to his department were discussed.
Mr. Rider of the U. S. Gypsum Company and Mr, Fish of the Crane Company were
present at the meeting to discuss their proposed plans for off street loading and un-
loading of trucks.
ENGINEERI-INTG DEPART MIENT: A Contractor's bond in the amount of %�l,000,00 was approved
and ordered filed for Roy Toney.
An Excavation bond was approved and ordered filed for the !Northern Indiana Public
Service Company.
Contract #6 presented by Consoer, Townsend and Associates for the interceptor
sewers and treatment plant was approved by the Board..
George A. Beamer, representing Gaseteria, Incorporated, was present to submit
plans for 2 6000 gallon storage tanks and 1 1000 gallon kerosene tank and 1 550 gallon
alcohol tank to be construction at the northwest corner of Indiana Avenue and 1,Uchigan
Street, The Board approved the plans only in respect to the storage tanks.
STREET DZFARTI',ENT: T.Tr. Casimer Balka, Street Commissioner, was present and matters
pertaining to his department were discussed.
A petition was received asking for the improvement of 30th Street North of the
Grand Trunk Railroad crossing by oiling or black topping same. This was referred to
the Street Department and the City Engineer.
CET,Ut�TERY DEPARTMENT: Stir. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertainin;
to his department were discussed.
There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned
