Vjitucki' of St. Casimert s Parish:,, came before the Board to ask permission to close Fisher Street for carnival purposes from July lst to July 8th inclusive. Also to close 'Nebster Street during the evenings so it could be used for pedestrian traffic only. The Board granted permission to close a part of'Fisher Sheet' during the day and evening and Webster Street during the evening only. Representatives of the F & S Transit Company, Norwalk Trucking Company and Shippers Dispatch came before the Board to discuss the truck access routes. The matter was re-,, . erred to Mr. Miller for investigation. DOG POLJID: The clerk of the Board was directed to advertise for a one-half ton jxick up ruck for the Dog Pound, bids to be returnable on July 71 1947. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A petition was received with 18 signers asking for the con- s ruc lon of a pavement on Sibley Street from �,11ilbur Street to Co11ege Street. This i was referred to the Engineering Department. Contractorts bonds were approved and ordered filed for Thomas J. Buczjnski, Clarence P. Coleman, Millard I. The -Board approved the elimination of parking on the ;lest side of Munsun Street, between Dunham and the lst alley North of Orchard, and on Kendall Street , the west side between Dunham Street and the is't alley North bfOrchard Street. The Board gave permission to' -use Chapin Street from Sample Street to ,,Vestern Avenue as a truck access route temporarily until such time as the Semple Street roadway I$lest of Sheridan Avenue is repaired or until a traffic signal is installed at the intersection of Western Avenue and Taylor -Street. ;`rhenever any one of the above mentioned improvements is completed, then trucks shall not use Chapin Street 'but shall use the officially designated trruck routes as set forth in Ordinance #'3510. rol • • 0 • 0 •
