A regular meeting of the Board of public 'forks was held on Ftronday, I,tarch 24,
1947 at 8:30 A.1K. All members were present. IYUnutes of the last meeting were
read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers in the amount of $204.87
were approved and ordered paid:

Sears Roebuck and Company were given permission to install and erect
some small prefabricated garages and farm buildings, temporarily for display
purposes, on the T operty located at 529 South Michigan Street.

STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Casimer Balka, Street Cor.�nissioner, was present and matter

The Board accepted the bid of riorte Brothers for one 1000 gallon distributor
.and truck, and 1 heavy duty Motor Grader at a total price of $11,112.66, their
bid being, in the Boards opinion, the lowest and best bid received.
The Board accepted the bid of the Scherman-Schaus-Freeman Company for one
1947 Studebaker 1 ton pick up truck at $951.13, their bid being the only one
received..
1,1r. Andrew Toth, Architect, presented the complete set of plans and specifi-
cations for the new Street Department building. These plans and specifications
were approved by the Board,-
