A regular meeting of the Board of Public :'lorks was held on ITonday, January 6, 194
at 8:30 A.M. All members were present. I; inutes of the last meet ing tirer.e read and
approved. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved.
TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: TTr. Ernest I.1iller; Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per-
azning to =�c-epart:�ent trere discussed.
BUS ROUTES: A letter was received from the izorthern Indiana Transit Company petition-
ingEo discontinue the Belleville Gardens Route effective January 10, 1947 and in lieu
thereof to, operate two trips AI+ and tyro trips PI daily except Sundays and IIalidays` for
a period of 90 days on a trial basis. The A T- trips to leave Belleville Gardens 7:00
8:00 A",, respectively, and the pTL trips to leave the Court Izouse at 5:15 and 5:50 PM
respectively . This mat ter was referred to the City Engineer and the Traffic 'ngineer•
for discussion frith a decision to be made at' a later meeting.
,HGIN2LRING D PARU NT : Excavation bonds were approved and ordered filed for:

H. Burke and Slutsky Plumbing and heating Company.
A Contractors s bond i-ras approved and ordered filed for Victor Trippel.
STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Casimer Balka, Street Commissioner, was present: and matters
per asning o nis depart,1:1ent were discussed.
Mr. Balka informed the Board that he t^ras in need of various supplies and the
Clerk of the Board was directed to advertise for bids for said supplies to be return-
able on January 27, 1947.

BUS ROU71I] : Upon the recorz_iendation of the City Engineer and the Traffic Engineer,
