II BUS ROUTES: A letter was received from the Northern Indiana Transit Company which
states hat the Angela Bus route which was started on, TTovember 20, 1946 has not
developed sufficient traffic to justify its operation and therefore they petition
to extend the Angela bus line' from it°s teim anus, T arquette and Angela Boulevard
thence :rest on Angela to s�ortage Aven.ue, ; thence i1ort'hwest on Portage Avenue to
Elwood; the:=ce ,'Jest on livood" to Adams Street; thence :south on Adams Street to
-I'=boldt Street; thence :lest on ilurriboldt Street to College Street; thence ITorth on
College Street to Elwood Avenue; thence East on ,lwood Avenue and to down town
I South Bend over same streets as is followed by out bound route. The Board granted
the above petition on a 90 day trial run.
GARBAGE :DISPOSAL. The Board approved the assig.-L ent of the garbage contract held
y Melvin S�ners, to the Liberty Disposal Cumpany, Inc., a copy of which is attach
ed hereto and ::Lade a part hereof,

ENGINEERING D EPARTT .� TT: An excavation bond in the amount of �1,000.00 was approved
and or eyed filed Tor 'Tarry iTicodemus.
A letter was received from the City Plan Commission in which they indicate
�they do not approve the closing of the seccnd alley East of Eddy Street between
BeLmont Avenue and Bronson Street because such vacation ,could leave too long; a
1 block without cross co-ii-nravnications. The Board directed the Clerk to so notify
�Ithe petitioner.
