A regular meeting of the Board of Public 71orks was held on 11onday, July 29,
1946 at 8:30 A.114. Mr. Ct I ings was absent. T,Tinutes of the last meeting ,were read
and approved. Salary claims in the amount of?16,503.93 were approved and order-
ed paid. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved.
TRAFFIC DEPAR-7HENT • Mr. Ernest Tiller, Traffic Engineer, was present and utters

LINGINE'L�'RING. DEPART1,,1ENT Contractorts Bonds were approved and ordered filed for the
so oWing Michael Tomaszewski & Son, Raymond J. North, Jolan E. Larkin, C. ,
HushovJer, a`Jestern Union Telegraph Company and Elmer E. Ba-ringer.
A letter was received from the City Plan Commission indicating that they
approved the vacation of the alley North of Sample and ',Test of Grant Street.
VACATION R ESOLUTION No. 2549
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD Or PUBLIC ''IORKS OF =1 . CITY Or SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
That it is desirable to vacate the following
The second alley .Vest of Grant Street from Sample Street to the South line
of the Chicago, Indiana and Southern Railroad right -of -gray, and the alley North
of Sample Street from the East line of the second alley ';lest of Grant Street
to a Point fourteen (14) feet west of the East line of Lot No. Nineteen (191
Gorsuchts 3rd Addition.
The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such
vacation:
All of lots 16 to 25 inclusive, in Gorsuchts 3rd Addition.
This alley will be re -located by a dedication of a strip of land 14 feet
wide off of the entire east side of Lot No. 19 in said Gorsuchts 3rd _addition.
Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2nd day of August and
on the 9th day of August, 19$6 in the South Send Daily tribune and the Teekly
Mirror.
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 19th. day of August, 1966
at 11:00 A.1 will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons.interested
in or af_'ected b-T said proceedings.

up truck for the Street Department, and only one bid having been received, it was
opened and read as follows:
