A regular meeting of the Board of Public `.tiorks was held on Taonday, July 220 _1946
at 8:30 A.1�1. All members were present Minutes of the last mee'ing were .read and
approved. Claims of the following suppliers in the amount oft 305.17 were approved
and ordered paid:

The Board approved the plans for three 25,000 gallon storage tanks to be instaSaidil
at 1039 East Pennsylvania Avenue for the Northern Indiana Public Service Company. ,�
tanks to be used for storing Propane fuel. The plans have already been approved by I
the State Fire DLarshallt s office in Indianapolis.
Plans and specifications for the footings on a building being constructed at the
Southwest corner of ''Jayne and Tiain Streets for the Indiana Bell Telephone Company were
approved by the Board. ;)

Contractors bonds Jere approved and ordered filed for Harry Anderson, Fred Black
and Simeon Stancin d/b/a S-L-A-B Construction Company and the Strohm Construction
Company. i

STREET DEPART&TENT: ITr. Casimer Balka, Street Com issioner, was present and matters �
pertaining to his departrent were discussed.

The Street Commissioner infortied the Board that the Street Department had been
called upon to furnish flares and barricades for a number of private jobs being done, I!
anal the Board authorized 'him to make the following charges: A deposit of ,7.50 to be II
charged for each barricade with a deduction of 25 cents per day for its use and a
deposit of "2.50 for each flare with a deduction of 10 cents -per day from that amount �
for its use. The failure to return flares or barricades mould result in the contractor;
forfeiting the right to take out any more or the course of action to'� e determined by !�
the Street commissioner.
The Street Cormissioner was authorized to attend the meeting of the Indiana Muni-
cipal League July 24-25-26 in Indianapolis. f.

CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Tir. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain-
ing to 71s department were discussed.
There being no further business to come before the Board, eht meeting was adjournec
at 10:00 A.1;1.
