All members were present. I>1i.nutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Salary claims in the amount of 8,102.34 were approved as d ordered paid. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved. TRAFFIC DEPAR2.1ENT: Mir. Ernest Th1iller., Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. !,.Tr. 14iller discussed with the Board the proposed chaning' of Carroll Street from two way traffic to a one way traffic street. No action was taken as the Board is to take the matter under advisement and also to hear Mr. Obenchain and Mr..Huggenard before any decision is reached. IVIr. 14iller was authorized to attent the Purdue Road School at LaFayette, Indiala on January 21 to 24 inclusive. ENGINEERING DEPARMIENT: Excavation bonds 'were approved for Norman 'Collmer, Medow;,r Plumbing and sieating Company and Phillip Cohn. These were ordered filed, STREET DEPARTTtIEfiTT: Mir. Casimer Balker, Street Coaissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. Cii ,,IE TERY DEPARE YTENT: 1,Jr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters per taining to his department were discussed. Mr. Leszczynski presented his annual report for the year 1945. TRAFFIC DEPARTi.,!aTT: A petition was filed with the Board opposing one way traffic on Carroll Street. This was referred to the Traffic Engineer. ENGINEERING DEPAR`2JENT: A petition was received asking for the vacation of Sycamore Street and the -alley running East and :Zest from Sycamore Street to the East Race and the first alley East of Sycamore Street running North and South from LaSalle Street to the first North and South Alley North of LaSalle Street. This was referred to the City Plan Commission for investigation and report. The Board approved the installation of a gasoline storage tank at the Northwest corner of-estern Avenue and Franklin Street for the Central .lest Oil Corporation upon a recommendation from TIr. Dalton Moomaw, City Building Commmissioner. Excavation bonds were approved for Balbina Perkins d/b/a Harry Perkins and Co., Dewey Williford, Rudolph DePaepe and J. B. Fleck. These were ordered filed.
