All members were present. Iviinutes of the last m.petin were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers in the, amount of 9.00 were approved and ordered paid: A. S. Co. 14.76 Davies Laundry & Cleaning Co. 4.54 The Ohio Oil Co. 601.24 Englewood Electrical Supply 164.09 The Ohio Oil Co. 318.90 Fire Engineering 4.00 Police Department 6.30 The France Stone Co. 6.28 St. Joseph Hospital 286.28 The Gibson Co. 11.90 ENGINEERING DEPARMIENT : Vacation Resolution: No. 2544 This being the date set, hearing was had on the res,o'lution heretofore adopted by the Board of Public ':works for the vacation_ of a parcel of land bounded by a line running as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot No. 7in,Louis Nickels Subdivision in the City of South Bend, Indiana; the nce '.vest along the Nor. line of Sample Street a distraz ce of five feet; thence North, along a line that is parallel with the 7lest line of Lot No. 7 to the point of intersection with the Northerly line of Lot No. 7 produced Southwesterly; thence Northeasterly -to the Northwest corner of Lot No. 7; thence South, along the vilest line of Lot.No. 7 to the point of beginning, under vacation resolution No. 2544. The Clerk. of the Board having shoun sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstrators having appeared and no written rerionstrances having been filed with the Clerk, it was moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the said resolution be finally adopted and the' said alley be.vacated. The Engineering department is directed to prepare an assessment roll covering the assessments of benefits and the awards of damages to the surrounding properties. There being no further business to come before the Board, jDarned at 10:00 A January 7, 1946 the Meeting was ad - A regular meeting of the Board of Public ':forks was held on i,ionday, January 7, 1946 at 8:30 A.I!. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. There were no claims to be approved. TRAFFIC DEPART11ENT: Mr. Ernest I=filler, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. BUS ROUTES: The Board of 'r'lorks, in order to serve the people of Sunnymede, author- ized the _1�orthern Indiana Transit Company to route their additionai bus on the Mish- awaka -North Side route East on Jefferson Boulevard to Eddy Street; South on Eddy Street to -layne Street; East on ',Mayne Street to Twyckenham Drive and South on l uvy- ckenham. Drive to 1-Iishawaka Avenue. In this fray they will give greater service to the residents of the Sunnymede district. A delegation of the Beacon Heights Housing project residents appeared before the Board to ask for additional bus service in their subdivision on Langly Avenue. This was referred to the Northern Indiana Transit Company. STREET DEPARTMENT: Nr. Casimer Balka, Street Corraissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. CEIVIET RY DEPE, TIMIE1IT: 1«r. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters per- taining to his apartment were discussed. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjoir ned at 11:00 A.M.
