ing to his department were discussed.

Mr. Miller was directed to investigate traffic. conditions in the Sunnyeade area
with reference to a proposed bus route through said.area, and Lieutenant Ellsworth
Butz was asked to help prepare a report on traffic conditions and submit it to the it
Board. ; •

BUS ROUTES: T.Tr. 'Natterson and Mr. Kahn of the Northern Indiana Transit Company came
before the Board requesting permission to change bus routes as follows:
To run every other bus on the Michigan Street route to the Southmore Housing
Project, instead of one every hour as they have been doing; !II
To run every other Northside-Tdlishawaka bus Last on Jefferson Boulevard to Eddy
Street; South on Eddy Street to `;",Jayne S treet; East on `Vayne Street to Twyckenham Drive
and South on Twyckenham Drive to Mishawaka Avenue.
The Board took the matter underadvisement and will give their decision at the II
next regular Board meeting.

A petition was received with 456 signatures asking for increased bus service on I!
the bellows Street route during 6:30 to 9:30 A.and 3:30 to 7:30 P.I. This was re-
ferred to the Northern Indiana 'transit Service for investigation and 'report. �
ENGINEERING DEPART1,ENT: The Board approved a plan for a two foot projection beyond the
building line for a building, located at 3015 ",'tiestern Avenue as submitted by 'Mr. 1v1. E. �
Smith, architect.

A letter was received from the City Plan Co.nmission in which they indicated they
were not in favor of vacating the alley , est of Johnson Street between Kenwood Avenue it
and Linden. The Board therefore denied the petition for the vacation. •
Excavation bonds in the amount of $1,000.00 each were approved for Albert ,d. i�

RESOLV ED BY THIE BOARD OF PUBLIC '1ORKS OF TTE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it
is necessary to vacate the following:
• �� A parcel of land bounded by a line running as follows Beginning at the Southwest
corner of Lot nui_rber seven (7) in Louis Nickel's Subdivision in the City of South Bend,
'; Indiana; thence West, along the North line of Sample Street a distance of five (5) feet;
thence Niortho along a line that is parallel with the `,'lest line of Lot number seven (7 )
!Ito the point of intersection with the Northerly line of Lot number seven ("7) produced
Southwesterly; thence Northeasterly to the Northwest corner of Lot number seven (7);
itthence South, along the °,Vest line of Lot number seven (7) to the point of beginning.
Ij The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation:

Lots numbered one (1) to ten (10) inclusive in Louis Nickel's subdivision and Lot

21st day of December, 1945 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the '4eekly Mirror.
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 31st day of December, 1945 at

,by these proceedings.
