TRAFFIC DEPARTi+IENT: Tyr. Ernest Muller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per-
tai ning to his department were discussed. I:Iore particularly the truck routes within
the city of South Bend.
A petition containing 22 names -was -received asking the Board to improve the car
parking conditions on Grace Street from the Oliver Plant to 'Y°debster Street. This
arras referred to the Traffic Engineer for investigation.
STREET DEPART'JE11,•IT: 1.r. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and mat-,
tern pertaining; to his department were discussed.
ENGIN.EERINK"I DEPARM1.ENT: An excavation bond in the amount of "1000.00 was approved for
Charles A. Irlahan. Contractor's bonds in the amount of P`1000.00 „ere approved, for
John. A. Taman and Charles 7% Aulm. These -,,ere ordered filed.
CEI!tiETERY DEPARTI�EiIT: P,ir. Stanley Leszcz,nski, Sexton, was present and Flatters pertain-
ing to his d.epar tm.ent..w ere discussed.
I;Ir. Leszczynski presented his report for the month of September, 1944.
The City Mall will be closed Thursday, October 12, Columbu,s Day.
