MEETING - JULY 24, 1944
A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works
was held on Monday, July 24,
1944 at
9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved
Salary claims in the amount of

STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters;
pertaining to his department were discussed. i
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: The new specifications for the contract for garbage disposal
were approved by the Board. The new specifications were identical with the previous
specifications except in the following paragraphs:
"Bids may be submitted as follows:
1. A bid for the weekly collection and disposal of garbage during the Calendar
year of 1945. All collections to be made in metal, water tight boxes equipped
with covers.
1A. The amount in excess of the bid in Category 1, for the bi-weekly collection
and disposal of garbage during the months of July, August and September. Such
bi-weekly collection to be made only if sufficient man power is available
as determined by the Board.
Notice of bids to be advertised on July 21 and July 28, and bids are to be received
up to 10:00 A.M. (C.W.T.) August 7, 1944.
Condemnation Resolution No. 2525
Remonstrances: The briefs and oral arguments made and filed in support thereof, consid-
ered by the Board, the Board being advised in the premises approved the roll of assement
of benefits and awards of damages as originally issued, but reserves the right to the
remonstrators to submit evidence on the amount of such damages or benefits on July 31,
1944 at 10:00 A.M. I
TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT, Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per-
taining to his department were discussed.
CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, present and matters pertaining
to his department were discussed.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned]
at 10:00 A.M.
