TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr, Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was authorized to go to East
Chicago on June 7 and 28 to study the Traffic Signal System in operation there.
CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain-
ing to his department were discussed.
There being no further business, to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned
at 10 00 A.M,

A regular meeting of the Board of Public'Works was held on Monday, July 30 1944 ^
jat 9:00 A.M. ,All memebers were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and,
(approved. There were no bills to be approved:
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: This being the date tet for hearing on condemnation resolution
. MS., Tor a rignt of way 80 feet wide, hearing was had. Wm. E. Miller, Attorney,
filed remonstrances by Lucy J. Tasher Marshall, Whitcomb and Keller, Inc., and John D.
Ak 11J. Farneman. Said remonstrances are filed in'jaeket bearing resolution No. 2525, to-
gether will all papers pertaining to condemnation proceedings.

Leona White, a Court Reporter, was present to take the minutes of -the meeting and
i�a copy of the minutes are attached hereto and'made a part thereof.°
