Williams, Chairman Gentlemen; In response to your letter of March, 13, concerning the Duey Street Sewer, we will say that we have had the.water shut-off valve casing renewed and have paid Mr. Emons for damages to his sidewalk, which he will have repaired himself when the weather • is favorable. We have also settled with Mrs. William Konschur wh'o had some damages to her, car. We are enclosing receipts as evidence. ENGINEERING DEPfRUIENT: A contractors bond in the amount of �1,000.00 was approved for Thomas L. Hickey. Thi.z was ordered filed. A petition for the elimination of a pond between 'Kashington and 1;larshall Streets and 35th and 36th Streets,carrying 21 signatures was submitted by John McCarthy. This was referred to the Engineering Department for investigation and report.
