ENGINEERING DEBARTIIENT: This being the date set., hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of court adjacent to Lot #382 Ford's Subdivision of part of 2d plat of Riverdale. In.theabove assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances ,rrere filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefitted and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take action on said assessment roll, and declares same in all things,_ ratified, confirmed and approved withcut modification and the proceedings closed and the -alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the various property owners so benefitted, and all proceedings had with reference to said alley, vacation are hereby sustained. U Mr. Clyde E. Williams, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing awards and gamages and assessments of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the alley south of Tasher txvenue from alley west of TFichiVan Street to Fain Street. The assessment roll and other records pertaining to this vacation are on file in the Board of Public '"Forks and Safety office, in Vacation Jacket �2518. In the above named assessrient roll, the Board 1Zereby orders that it will meet in the City Hall at 10:00 A. I',i. cn the 9th day of Noven-ber, 1942 for the purpose of hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested In or affected by said Vacation Resolution 2518, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together with the an.ount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners by publishing same on October 23rd and October 30th, 1942 in the South Bend daily Tribune and the weekly Mirror. Clyde E. `t'�illiarLs, City Engineer, filed pr:iumar-r assessment roll showing awards and damages and assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the alley south of Jennings Avenue from the alley west of ISichi-fan Street to ;.ain Street. The assessment roll and other recorc_s pertaininv to this vacation are on file in the Board of Public s"works and Safety office, in Vacation Jacket #2519 in the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in the City. Hall at 10:00 A. V.. on the 9th day of November, 1942, for the purpose of hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said Vacation Resolution #2919, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together with the amount of dcmases ai,,arded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners by publishing same on October 23rd and 30th, 1942 in the South Bend Tribune and the weekly Mirror. The Board approved contractor's bonds for Peter Schumaker & Sons, Bernard D. Johnson Everett Stauch and Charles Auln. These bonds were ordered filed. 0 • • • • 0 85 n LJ TRAFFIC COitKISSION: Rev. 1,11ilson, of` the United Brethern Church, and a member of his committee appeared before the Board, asking that they might erect signs on various street pointing the way to their church. This petition was denied inasmuch as the Board has no power to grant petitions of this character. CErMETERY DEP: HT1.1,MIENT: Mr. Lisle McNabb, Sexton presented his financial report for the month of September. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 10 : 30 A. K . ATTEST: Clerk.
