A regular meeting of the Board of Public `;Yorks was held on 1vlonday, December 29, 1941
at 9:00 A. 1i ' Two members were present, T<Ir. Clyde E. Williams being absent. 11inutes of
the last -.meeting were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers, in the
amount" of �,384.92 were approved and ordered" paid. �

Proposals to insure city automotive equipment for the following board, Board of
Public ',rJorks, Pare Board, Health Board and City "!"u&t r .!Works, covering 10,000.00 and
�=,000.00 public liability and w5000.00 property damage, were received from D. Sherman
Ellison -rand the Lloyd Insurance Co.
The bids were as follows:

The Lloyd Insurance Co., proposal also included a non -ownership clause, at an additi n-
al cost of $91.75. The Ellison proposal did not cover this point.
ENGINEERING DEP1,.TrtENT: Excavation bonds for United Plumbing and Heating Co., and Sluts
Plumbing & Heating Co. were received. Thess bonds ,,,ere approved and ordered filed.
C' T,IETERY DEPARTMENT: It was the decision of the Board,- that Lisle McNabb should charge
>15.00 per burial, and that the City Cemetery Department would not sell burial faults
in the future, leaving that to -.be taken care of by either the undertaker or the vault
company.
'There being no further business -to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned
at 10:30 A. T;r.

at 9 :00 'A. 11. All members were present. 1,11inutes of the last meeting were read and
approved. Claims of the followinj suppliers, in the 6mount of $34.90 were approved and
ordered -said.

STREET DEPARTNIENT: Ttr. ZmudzL nski, Commissioner, was advised to repair the railing along
the river on Hydraulic Ave., with lumber now on hand at the street department, until suc
a time as new posts and cable could be purchased.
ENGINEERING DE'PARTivIENT: The Board approved the grade dstablished by the Engineering Dep;
artment °for the alley north of Parkovash Avenue, frorl'Ostemo Street to Iroquois Street,
as per drawings submitted.
The Board approved the plans submitted by the South Bend Tool & Die ,Yorks, for a
driveway on Calvert Streets east of Main Street. Said driveway is to be 14 t wide and
set back 171-from 'the property line to enable tractor -trucks to clear the public side-
walk.

ELECTRIC DEPARTTJE1�T: A letter asking that street lightsbe installed in the area bounded
by 'Nestmore Avenue, Bendix Drive and Crumstown Avenue, was received from 1,iIr. Shipley of
