This petition was turned lover to the Engineering Department. The Board approved the plans for grade and -Pavement on Winding''Nood Drive as present �ed by,the Engineering Department. Mr. Clyde E. Williams, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll, showing awards and damages and assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of alley North of �i Bowman Street from Main Street to the West line of the alley east of Yalain Street. The assessment roll and other records pertaining to this vacation are on file in the • IIBoard of Public Works and Safety office in Vacation Jacket #2510. I I In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in the City Hall at 10:00 A. M., on the 15th day of December, 1941, for the purpose of 11hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said Vacation Resolution #2510, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, !; together Leith the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the `property owners by publishing same on November 28 and December 5, 1941, in the South .Bend Tribune and the weekly Mirror, Mr. Harr Richwine and Mr. Howard Noble of the National Guard Armor Board met with i y y .the Board to discuss the matter of leasing land belonging to the City, adjacent to the • ♦Armory on South Eddy Street. ;i iELECTRIC DEPARTTiIENT: A petition was received asking that Boulevard lights be installed Ion Oakside Street from Miami Street to Carroll Street. This petition was turned over to j i`.�r. Qualls for investigatlon and report. A petition was received asking for a street light on Adams Street between Humbolt (Street and Elwood Avenue. This petition was turned over to Mr. Qualls for investigation land report. • A letter was received from Francis Jones, requesting that a street light be install ed at E. Washington Street and Esther Street, and Twyckenham Blvd., and Esther Street. This letter was turned over to Mr. Qualls for investigation and report. Mr. Qualls reported that the light at Main and Tasher Street had been ordered in. Mr. Drips turned over $15.00 received for the sale of a 1936 Studebaker Coupe. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 A. M. T: r.4.
