STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Tony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner was present and matters
pertaining to his department were discussed.
I41r. Zhudzinski presented the sweeper report for the week beginning October 29, 1941.�'
Mr. Zmudzinski was authorized to repair the sidewalks on the Hydraulic Avenue j
bridge. !i
ENGINE'E'RING DEPARTMENT.* The Board approved the plans for sidewalk, curbs and pavement
on Bissell Street, from Campau Street to Northwood Drive, as per drawings submitted by
the Engineering Department.
A contractor's bond,•in the amount of $1000.00 was received for Charles H. Gollatz
of Mishawaka, Ind. This bond'was approved and ordered filed.
The Board approved the plans for the proposed driveway for the.Hill's Building on
E. Jefferson Blvd.
A contractor's bond, in the amount of $1000.00, was received for Slyvester Queer.
This bond was approved and ordered filed.
j The Board denied the petition to cut back the curb on Jefferson Street, at St. Louis
,Blvd., in front of the property at 701 E. Jefferson Blvd. This petition was received
from Laura Pfeiffer, who was advised of the decision of the Board.
Bids were received on the curb for Meade Street and the sidewalk and curb on Maple
II Street, as follows:

Curb on Maple St. .60 per foot
Sidewalk on Maple St. ..22 per sq. ft.

The Board accepted the bid of Mr. Harry Barnes; as being the louyest and best.bid,
and Mr. Barnes Baas advised to proceed with the work.

Two certified checks in the amount o_L 010000 each were received with the bid from
Mr. Harry Barnes.
No check accompanied the bid of Herman Glaser.
The Board approved the plans for curb and pavement on Parkway, from Sample Street
to Dogwood Drive and on Medow Lane, as presented by the Colpaert Realty Co.
ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Qualls was instructed to make arrangements for thirteen(13)
• I lights to be installed as' needed, on the order of Mr. Qualls, at the East Jefferson
Housing Project.
Mr. Qualls turned over $3.20 received for cutting wires and replacing same for a
house that was moved.
The Board was advised of the change in price rating for the parking lot at the
intersection of Madison and Michigan Streets, the new rate being $.10 for day parking
until 6:00 P. M. .10 for night parking from 6:00 to 9:00 A. M. and $.15 for parking
twenty-four hours.
