MAMAS AGAINST VIOLENCE (MAV)
14th ANNUAL WALK
In recognition of the National Day of Remembrance for victims of homicide, please join
Mamas Against Violence (MAV) for their 14th annual walk. The annual community
walk will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Supporters will gather at 10:30
a.m. at Greater St. Matthew Church, located at 2705 Marquette Blvd. and proceed to
walk to Muessel Grove Park, located at the corner of Elwood and Wilber. The
celebration in the park will start at 11:30 a.m. There will be music, sharing memories, a
balloon release, a bouncy house, a rock climbing wall and free food for the public to
enjoy. Mamas Against Violence (MAV) will stand in unity as a community to fight
against violence and remember our loved ones that have fallen victim to homicide.
Mamas Against Violence (MAV) wants families affected by violence to know they’re not
alone and MAV stands with them and offers encouragement and support.
