MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
CITY OF SOUTH BEND
THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING sets forth the agreement between the City of South Bend
and Teamsters Local Union No. 364,
ARTICLE 10 - SENIORITY
ARTICLE 10 (Seniority) of the Master Agreement between the City of South Bend and Teamsters Local
Union No. 364 made effective January 1, 2017, is hereby amended to add the following language as a
New Section F:
In cases where two or more employees have the same date of hire, the tiebreaker
implemented to determine city-wide, departmental or work group seniority shall be the
first letter of the employee's last name at the time of hire and then, if necessary, the
first letter of the employee's first name at the time of hire.
This Memorandum of Understanding shall be effective August `, 2017. Each and every other
provision of the original master agreement and supplemental agreements have been ratified, approved
and reaffirmed by the parties and all other matters previously agreed to and set forth in the original
master agreement and supplemental agreements not affected by this amendment shall remain in full
force and effect.
