A SPECIAL PROCLAMATION AWARDED BY SOUTH BEND
COUNCIL MEMBER AT LARGE KAREN L. WHITE HONORING RON BISHOP
FOR HIS TALENTED AND GIFTED CAREER AS A MINISTRY LEADER
(5% Ron Bishop is known by ministry leaders throughout the country as a prolific
minister of music,praise and worship leader, conference psalmist, and gospel recording artist. Mr.
Bishop has conducted music conferences and seminars that have blessed and enhanced ministries
around the country; and
(3% Mr. Bishop is an ordained minister of the gospel, an associate elder,minister of
music and worship leader at Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ in South Bend,Indiana.
He is the founder and executive director of Judah First Ministries & Gospel Music Productions of
South Bend. Judah First was nominated in 2014 for 4 Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards and
featured musical guests at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards pre-show concert,the third largest awards
show of its kind that recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of independent artists
nationally and internationally. Judah First released their debut CD entitled "Exalted Praise" in
2005, and their sophomore project, "More of You"was released in August 2010; and
(5% in the summer of 1987, Mr. Bishop began his solo ministry and career by
opening for local concerts and services which featured such national recording artists as Ricky
Dillard and New G, Lamar Campbell& Spirit of Praise, Stephanie Mills,Jennifer Holiday, Pastor
Calvin B. Rhone, Kim Burrell, Rev. John P. Kee & the New Life Community Choir, Bishop
Marvin Sapp,Pastor Donnie McClurkin,Allen&Allen,and Dr. Bobby Jones&New Life to name
a few; and
()f) Mr. Bishop is a tremendously talented and gifted psalmist, choir conductor and
worship leader who performs with warmth and sincerity. Most noteworthy about Mr. Bishop's
music ministry is his dedication, commitment, steadfastness, professionalism and hard work ethic
that he brings to every performance.
Section I. On behalf of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and as an elected
Council Member At Large of the South Bend Common Council, I am pleased to publicly honor
Ron Bishop, who has truly served with grace and distinction.
Section Il. Ron Bishop has been married for 32 years to his wife Patricia and is the proud
father of two adult children, Corey Ronell and Caren Rachell Bishop; and has one grandchild
Caiden Malachi Bishop.
