Christmas Tree Pick Up Schedule
The City of South Bend will begin its automatic Christmas tree pickup starting Monday,
January 4, in the northeast quadrant and will work clockwise around the city twice until Friday,
January 15. Trees should be placed at the curb line by 6 am. Please do not place trees in streets
or alleys. Remember to remove all lights, ornaments, and metal including tree stands and nails.
Artificial trees or trees containing glass or metal will not be collected. Call-in pickup will begin
today and run through the remainder of the week. Residents who would like to drop off their
trees will be able to do so starting today at the following locations:
Rum Village Park
- - Ewing Ave. at Gertrude St.
Pinhook Park
- - 2800 block of Riverside Dr.
Veterans’ Memorial Park
- - Twyckenham at Northside Blvd.
Please Note: Drop off is for Christmas trees ONLY - no trash is permitted under any circumstances!
Placing of any items other than Christmas trees is a ticketable offense under the South Bend
Municipal Code.
The drop-off locations are open seven days a week from 7 am to 5 pm and signs will be
posted to direct residents to designated drop-off point’s at all three locations. All trees are
recycled as Organic Resources into high quality mulch, which is provided, free, to South Bend
residents.
