R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, UNITED NATIONS DAY is being celebrated
on October 24, 1962, and,
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend should fittingly
note the significance of this day by proper recognition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
South Bend, Indiana, by proclamation mark and designate
October 24, 1962, as UNITED NATIONS DAY,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, in regular meeting assembled this
22nd day of October, 1962, does hereby commend the United
Nations Assembly for the important work it has done in the
preservation of world peace and the promotion of the economic
and cultural welfare of the people of the world.
