R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, SARAH FLETCHER ALLEN, daughter of our fellow-
Councilman, J. Chester Allen, has departed this life; and,
WHEREAS, the death of this young and brilliant girl
has caused much grief and sorrow to her bereaved family and her
many friends.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of
the Common Council hereby extend to J. Chester Allen, to Mrs. Allen,
and to the other members of the family our sincere sympathy in this
their deepest hour of sorrow; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a page be set aside in the
Council Records in the City of South Bend and this Resolution be
copied thereon and a copy duly certified by the Clerk be sent to
Councilman J. Chester Allen, and his family.
