RESOLUTION NO. 103-65
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING FLUORIDATION
WHEREAS, The Director of the St. Joseph County Health Department,
Dr. Louis E. How, as well as the Surgeon General of U. S.
Public Health Service, Dr. Luther Terry, have recommended
Fluoridation and referred to it as "one of the important
health measures of our time," and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of South Bend has heard arguments for
and against Fluoridation of our water supply,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the South Bend Common Council go on
record as recommending to the Board of Water Commissioners
that they act to make Fluoridated water available to the
citizens of this community.
