- RESOLUTION
No. 184-68
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend is the owner of the
following described real estate, to-wit:
Lot Numbered Twenty-six (26) Smith Homes
Addition, recorded in Plat Book 19, page
S in the Office of the Recorder of St.
Joseph County, Indiana,
and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend
has found and declares the above-described real estate is no
longer needed for City purposes, and that the said above-
described real estate is required by the City of South Bend,
Department of Redevelopment, for furtherance of the development
of the Urban Renewal Plan for LaSalle Park Project Ind. R-57
for the development of low and moderate income housing, and
to obtain a non-cash grant-in-aid toward said Project, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend
deems it in the best interest of the City of South Bend to
transfer and convey said real estate to the Department of
Redevelopment for such purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of
South Bend does hereby find and declare that the above-
described real estate is no longer needed for City purposes
and further finds and declares that the Department of Rede-
velopment of the City of South Bend is coextensive with the
territory of the City of South Bend, and that the above-
described real estate should be conveyed and transferred
to the City of South Bend for the use and benefit of its
Department of Redevelopment.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of South Bend are hereby authorized and directed
to execute all necessary documents for the conveyance and
transfer of the above-described real estate to the City of
South Bend for the use and benefit of its Department of
Redevelopment.
