RESOLUTION NO. 205 - 69
WHEREAS, GOD, in His Infinite Wisdom, has called from this life,
MRS. ELLA M. MORRIS, South Bend Civic Leader who
gave generously of her time and resources to make
South Bend a better place in which to live and rear children,
WHEREAS, her untimely death has brought much grief and sorrow
to her bereaved family and many friends,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of the
COMMON COUNCIL, hereby extend to MRS. JUDD LEIGHTON,
and MRS. OLIVER C. CARMICHAEL, JR. , daughters of
MRS. ELLA M. MORRIS, and to the other members of the
family our sincere sympathy in this their deepest hour
of sorrow; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a page be set aside in the Council
Records in the City of South Bend and this Resolution
be copied thereon and a copy duly certified by the Clerk
be sent to Mrs. Judd Leighton and Mrs. Oliver C. Carmichael
Jr. , and other members of the family.
