RESOLUTION OF LOCAL GOVERNING BODY
APPROVING CHANGES IN BUDGET, WORK
PROGRAM AND ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE
ON COMPREHENSIVE CITY DEMONSTRATION
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana. , on March 26, 1968,
resolved to undertake a comprehensive city demonstration program
to rebuild or revitalize blighted and deteriorating areas and generally
improve conditions for the people who live in such areas; and
WHEREAS, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development has
authorized the City of South Bend, Indiana, to embark on a program
pursuant to Title I of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan Develop,
ment Act of 1966 to make grants to, and contract with, City Demonstra-
tion programs; and
WHEREAS, the Secretary has authorized a lessor amount for such
program than was previously approved by the Common Council, thereby
necessitating a revised budget, and a revised work program:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Common Council approves
the proposed changes in the budget and work program and the proposed
administrative structure for the comprehensive demonstration program.
